AEMT Hampton Spring Thursdays

This class runs on Thursdays, 9:30 am- 4:30 pm, September 3rd - December 3rd 2026
CLASS ORIENTATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY JANUARY 7TH AT 9:30AM. YOU MUST ATTEND THE CLASS ORIENTATION.
FireMed’s Advanced EMT program is designed to help you excel in prehospital care. We have consistently produced successful, qualified and respected AEMTs. With over a 90%+ NREMT pass rate, our course focuses on improving all EMS skills, with patient assessment skills at the core. We offer quality instruction, innovative methods, and hands-on training across New Hampshire. We have affiliations with hospitals and departments across the seacoast and southern New Hampshire
Prerequisites
Valid EMT license
Learning Approach
Engage through interactive lectures, hands-on labs, simulated emergencies, and case studies. Mastery is evaluated via skills assessments, written exams, and assignments.
Key Objectives
Describe the roles of EMS in the healthcare system.Demonstrate the professional attributes expected of AEMTs.Perform the roles and responsibilities of an AEMT with regard to personal safety and wellness, as well as the safety of others.Perform the duties of an AEMT with regard to medical-legal and ethical issues, including functioning under medical direction and within the scope of practice.Apply principles of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, lifespan development, and therapeutic communications to the assessment and management of patients.Identify the need for and perform immediate life-saving interventions to manage a patient’s airway, breathing, and circulation.Assess and manage patients of all ages with a variety of complaints, medical conditions, and traumatic injuries.Apply principles of emergency medical services operations, including considerations in ambulance and air medical transportation, multiple casualty incidents, gaining access to and extricating patients, hazardous materials incidents, and responding to situations involving weapons of mass destruction.Maintain an 80% average, pass the final exam with 80%, and demonstrate all required skills.
Attendance Policy
Student attendance is required at all scheduled classes, including lab sessions. Students may be dropped from the course for excessive absences of any kind. Excused absences may be granted by the course instructor for extenuating circumstances. If three or more absences occur for any reason, the status of the student will be reviewed by the instructors to determine a disposition. Course failure is likely under these circumstances. If a student misses any class, he/she is responsible for any missed examinations, lab work, and material covered in that class session. Prompt arrival is expected at all class activities. It is the student’s responsibility to sign in on the attendance roster.

Prepare to respond to emergencies with FireMed’s Firefighter One program, designed to equip students with essential skills for combating fires, handling hazardous materials, and providing critical support in emergency situations. This comprehensive course integrates foundational firefighting principles with hands-on training exercises and real-world scenarios developed collaboratively by experienced instructors to simulate the challenges faced by firefighters in the field.

**Note: IF Hazmat Awareness OR Operations is failed twice, the student MUST take those classes again before returning to the Fire 1 Program. Operations will be done during the course and is NOT a prerequisite. Please ensure you complete Hazmat Awareness prior to the first day of class.

Prepare to deliver lifesaving prehospital care with FireMed’s EMT program, designed to equip students with critical skills for assessing and treating patients across medical emergencies and traumatic injuries. This course blends foundational EMS principles—roles, anatomy, trauma response, and patient transportation—with dynamic case studies developed collaboratively by instructors and students to simulate real-world challenges.
Prerequisites
Students must be 18+ upon completion of the course. Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Engage through interactive lectures, hands-on labs, simulated emergencies, and case studies. Mastery is evaluated via skills assessments, written exams, and assignments.
